As a certified trainer and fitness enthusiast, I have so many amazing weight loss stories that I am thankful to have had the opportunity to be a small part of. People of all ages, shapes and sizes have real life stories about how they lost weight, and this should motivate you and help you realize that you can do it too. Regardless of your schedule or lack of motivation, sometimes all you need are relatable weight loss stories to help you to get up and get going to fuel you to achieve your goal.
1. Health Food Lover Seeking Fitness
Several years ago, a woman contacted me because she was approaching her forties and although she had eaten healthy, something was lacking. When she had trouble keeping up with her teenage daughter on a mile run, she decided it was time to get on board to fitness, so she contacted me and our relationship began. Now three years later, she is one of the strongest people that I have trained both physically and mentally. This woman lost just 17 pounds, which may not seem like a lot, but she sculpted her arms, legs and stomach, transforming her small frame. This is one of the best weight loss stories because now she can run with her teenage daughter (who is approaching college age) and she feels years better than her age!
2. Retired and out of Shape
A woman called me up a year ago requesting more information about the Bootcamp I own, along with my personal training services. She was hesitant to delve into fitness because she had not exercised in over twenty years, was over 20 pounds overweight and had recently retired, but I had reassured her she can go at her own pace. After one year of her joining Bootcamp and meeting many fitness milestones, like doing her first full push up, she lost 27 pounds, found herself to be a fitness lover and even registered for future fitness events like a sprint triathlon.
3. Beauty Seeking Perfection
A young girl of 14 contacted me with an approaching school dance, looking to lose 15 pounds and look amazing in her dress. Since she already exercised 4 days a week, it was a challenge to increase her fitness program, so we swapped her daily walk for a run or high intensity fitness session. I worked with her by staying with her every step of the way, even swapping her after school chips for the healthier option of pretzels or fruit. Her results reflected a 9 pound weight loss, along with a full body transformation, all in one month, just in time for her dance!
4. Non-Fit Woman Transformation to Ultra-fit
A year and a half ago, a man contacted me interested in signing up his wife to train with me as a birthday gift. After he discussed her lack of interest in exercise, I was curious how this would go. I offered him the option for a full refund if she did not like the gift certificate. But the next month a new member showed up to camp with a gift certificate in her hand and a smile. From the first day, I could see she was going to be a dedicated client. With a medium build, I figured she may lose 10 pounds at most, but after complete focus and many hours of training, a year and a half later she is down over 20 pounds and even running for the first time in her life. Now that is inspiring!
5. New Mom Discovering Her Inner Athlete
A number of years ago, a young woman joined Bootcamp after she having her first baby. With her baby 2 months old, she figured there was no time like the present to get fit and reclaim her pre-pregnancy body. Although she was never an athlete in the past, she began training like a renegade, pushing herself in every workout to be the best and always finished ahead of everyone. And she never sacrificed form to be speedy! After three months of training, she lost 19 pounds, tightened her stomach and regained energy for her baby girl!
6. College Student Transformation
After a long year of college, eating on the dining plan and late night snacking, a young girl contacted me with a college weight gain of 24 pounds. She was embarrassed, depressed and insecure with her weight gain. But with 3 months of training and healthy eating habits while visiting her parents at home, we were able to work together to create a cohesive fitness relationship and she lost 22 pounds in the process. She did not meet her full goal so she had something to work for when she returned to school. She adopted new food and fitness habits for the better, along with a trainer for life!
7. Emotional Eater Changes Her Ways
We all have some points when we eat because of our emotions, but a client approached me for help because she had a lifetime of this. In her mid-twenties, she had battled with yo-yo dieting, emotional eating and confidence issues, all leading to a 50 pound weight gain. But with the support of friends, family and motivation, in just 7 months she lost 50 pounds through cardio 5 days a week, along with my guidance. She later became heavily involved in healthy cooking and even helped her family make better food choices. Now that is the best way to live life and make the most of your twenties and beyond!
I hope these amazing weight loss stories boost your energy and motivation to help you realize that meeting your goals comes down to hard work, dedication, clean eating and lots if exercise. Are you ready to make some changes in your life? Wishing you a life of health, happiness and fun fitness workouts!
